Analytics Cookies
We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated data about page views and site performance. Vercel Analytics is privacy-focused: it does not use cookies for tracking, does not collect personally identifiable information, and is compliant with GDPR without requiring consent. No data is shared with advertisers.
Data collected: page URL, referrer, browser type, country (from IP, not stored), page load time.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Matchboks does not use third-party advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or social media tracking cookies. We do not serve ads and do not participate in ad networks. The only third-party services that may set cookies are:
- Supabase: authentication tokens stored in secure, HTTP-only cookies or local storage for session management
- Vercel: anonymous analytics as described above (no tracking cookies)
5. Cookies in Our Mobile Apps
Our iOS and Android apps do not use browser cookies. Authentication tokens are stored in encrypted device storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) for maximum security. Anonymous usage data may be collected for crash reporting via Sentry, but this does not involve cookies.
6. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View which cookies are stored and delete individual cookies
- Block all cookies or only third-party cookies
- Get notified before a cookie is set
- Clear all cookies when you close the browser
Note: Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in or using core platform features. For instructions specific to your browser, visit your browser's help documentation.
Common browser cookie settings: Chrome (Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies), Firefox (Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies), Safari (Preferences → Privacy → Cookies), Edge (Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions).

Under the ePrivacy Directive (as implemented in Norwegian law) and GDPR:
- Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent, as they are essential for the service you requested (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Functional cookies are set based on legitimate interest to provide your preferred experience (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Analytics are privacy-focused and anonymised; Vercel Analytics does not require cookie consent under current guidance.
